Churchill Rescue responded to multiple vehicle accidents on July 4th/5th
The first incident occurred in Edgewood on the Parkway East at 1355. A multi-car accident was reporting including a motorcycle. Edgewood 137 Rescue was first on scene and found a single motorcycle accident with driver down on the roadway. 122 Rescue, Chief and Squad responded and assisted with traffic control to shut the parkway westbound until PennDot crews arrived. Crews cleared the scene and were back at the station at 1450

Later on the 4th, a two vehicle accident was reported on Lower Rodi Road in Wilkins Township at 1608. Wilkins 302 was already at a fire incident in North Braddock, so the call was covered by Churchill. An SUV entering the road from Penn Center collided with a pickup truck on Lower Rodi causing the pickup to crash into the Zoresco Equipment fence and parking lot. The driver of the pickup was transported by Woodland Hills EMS. Churchill crews handled a large amount of debris cleanup and disentangling the pickup truck from the chain link fence for the tow truck. Crews cleared the scene at 1715.

A third incident occurred at 0232 on Friday, July 5, 2019. A vehicle travelling south on Beulah Road sideswiped a telephone pole, spreading debris across 50 yards of the roadway. 122 Rescue and 122 Squad responded and blocked the road to secure the scene, then cleared the glass and other car parts from the road. Crews cleared the scene at 0311
