Churchill Fire was dispatched to a reported fully involved house fire on Highland Avenue in Wilkins Township, March 28, 2237. Multiple calls were being received reporting a house on fire. 302 Chief was first on scene reporting the last house before the dead end fully involved and established command .
First in units from 283 began initial attack, laying 1000ft of 4″ supply line up the hill from Clugston ave. 302 Engine positioned halfway up Highland and attempted to establish a water supply but was hampered by low water pressure due to the hilly conditions, . A tanker alarm was called to establish a water shuttle from a supply point at St Coleman’s Church on Tri-boro expressway in Turtle Creek to a dump tank at Highland and Sanderson Alley. 303 Engine drafted from the dump tank and pumped uphill to 302 which relay pumped to the units at the fire scene, approximately 100-150ft vertical rise through 1000ft of 4″ hose.
