Churchill Rescue was alerted to a report of a rollover on the Parkway between the Churchill and Business 22 exists Oct 23, 2020 at 0311. While responding to the station, police on scene reported the vehicle was on fire and occupants were out of the vehicle. Police had stopped traffic on the Parkway.
122 Engine was the first unit on scene with a fully involved car fire in the fast lane of the Parkway eastbound. Firefighters pulled the 1-1/2 bumper line and used CAFS foam from 122 Engine’s tank water to extinguish the fire. The fire was quickly extinguished using approximately 150 gallons of water. Crews remained on scene 1 hour until the vehicle was removed. 122 Rescue and 302 Engine also responded and were positioned to block two lanes of traffic prior to the accident scene starting at the Churchill onramp.
