Churchill Fire responded to assist Forest Hills Station 153 for a house explosion on Avenue A, April 17, 14:24.   Initial units on scene from Forest Hills, Wilkins 303 and North Braddock 207 found one half of a duplex partially collapsed and on fire, with the fire extending into the other half of the duplex through the attic area.

Churchill and Wilkins 302 were put on stand-by then requested to the scene approx. 1 hour into the incident after the fire had been extinguished.  Firefighters assisted with overhaul of the adjacent structure and checking neighboring houses for natural gas.
