Churchill Fire was dispatched to a report of a microwave on fire on Marbury Rd in Churchill on Monday, July 17, 2017 11:18.  Stations 302, 303, 153 and 137 for RIT were also dispatched.

122 Chief was the first on scene finding a smoke condition in the house, and microwave on fire with flames extending toward the ceiling.  A dry chemical extinguisher to knock down the fire.

122 Rescue was the first engine on scene followed by 137 Rescue, 303 Attack, 153 Truck, and 302 Rescue/Engine.   Units used a water can to cool hot spots and checked for extension of the fire.    No extension was found and the house was ventilated.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshall responded and is investigating the cause of the incident.

Mutual Aid companies were cleared after 30 minutes and Churchill units remained on scene for 90 minutes.
