Churchill Rescue was alerted for a vehicle rollover on the Parkway East on April 3, 2022 at 14:38. Updated reports from county dispatch indicated semi-trailer rolled over on the bend between Wilkins and Penn Hills exits on the Parkway. Based on the initial reports, 122 Chief updated the assignment to add 153 Forest Hills Rescue

122 Chief was first on scene confirming rolled over semi truck blocking the right two lanes with paper products on the roadway. The drive had self-extricated from the cab. 122 Rescue was next on scene and checked for leaking fluids from the cab and addressed a small motor oil leak. 302 Rescue, 153 Rescue and 122 Engine took up positions behind the incident to funnel traffic into the fast lane.

Crews from all the fire companies assisted with unloading half of the load from the damaged trailer. After the towing/recovery company righted and towed the trailer, the scene was turned over to PennDot crews to address the overturned trailer.

Crews were on scene for 2-1/2 hours.
